Where spiritual growth, education, and family values come together.

At Oblong Children’s Christian Home, daily life is filled with purpose, structure, and love. Within our family-style homes, children experience the stability and care they need to grow — spiritually, emotionally, and academically. Each moment, from morning devotionals to bedtime prayers, reflects our mission to glorify God by providing a true home where young lives are guided toward hope and healing.

Daily Life

Each day at OCCH is thoughtfully structured to help children develop responsibility, discipline, and a sense of belonging. Mornings begin with devotion and prayer, setting a Christ-centered tone for the day. After breakfast, residents attend school or on-campus classes at New Life Academy High School, followed by study time, chores, and recreation.

Evenings are family-focused — shared meals, group discussions, and quiet moments of reflection with houseparent's. Through this rhythm of consistency and care, children experience the stability that nurtures confidence and trust. In every detail, home life models Christian values and the beauty of living together in harmony and love.

Education

Education is a vital part of life at OCCH. Each child’s learning path is guided through the local Christian School for elementary through Junior High. Then our High School aged kids will attend our on campus school New Life Academy, that combines academic excellence with Christian teaching. Small class sizes and individualized attention help students overcome past challenges and rediscover the joy of learning.

Our educational program emphasizes more than grades — it builds perseverance, character, and purpose. Teachers and houseparents work together to encourage strong study habits and responsibility, preparing students not just for academic success, but for lifelong growth in wisdom and faith.

Spiritual Growth

Healing takes time — and compassionate guidance. Through professional and faith-based mentorship, children learn to process their past, manage emotions, and build healthy relationships.

Our mentorship program provides both individual and family sessions, helping each child grow in self-awareness and forgiveness. With daily devotions, weekly church attendance, and each young person being a part of a local youth group, young people find peace in God’s plan for their lives and strength to move forward with confidence.

Horsemanship

Our horsemanship program provides a unique opportunity for children to learn trust, patience, and responsibility through the care and training of horses. Whether grooming, feeding, or riding, each activity becomes a lesson in respect and perseverance.

This hands-on program builds confidence and self-control while reflecting Biblical principles of stewardship and gentleness. Many children form a deep sense of connection and accomplishment through their work with the horses — experiences that mirror the healing and growth happening in their own hearts.

A Place to Grow in Faith and Purpose

At OCCH, life is about more than routines — it’s about transformation. Every class, chore, prayer, and conversation is part of a greater purpose: helping children know Christ, build character, and prepare for a meaningful future. Here, surrounded by faith and family, they discover that with God, every new day brings hope.

Life At OCCH

Balanced Growth

I personally know that everyone here has every kids best interest at heart. I know from experience that the people who work here are amazing and care about the kids. I’ve built long life friendships and family from being at the home and I’ve learned how to love. I have a better relationship with my family, so the home is perfect for any concerns you have with your child.
